Brooklyn, NY (March 14, 2023) – Police officials and paramedics were called to the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn after reports came in concerning a pedestrian who had been struck by a motor vehicle. The collision took place at the intersection of Batchelder Street and Avenue V on Tuesday morning, March 14th.
According to preliminary reports, an unidentified person was traveling on foot through the intersection when they were hit by a car at approximately 8:47 a.m. First responders arrived at the site of the collision and promptly worked to secure the area and assist the victim.
EMTs worked at the scene before the injured patient was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance. At this time, there is no word on the condition of the pedestrian.
Police investigators are conducting a thorough inquiry to determine the events that led to the accident. New details will be provided when they are reported.
