Brooklyn, NY (March 3, 2023) – Police officials in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn received a 911 report concerning a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Friday morning, March 3rd. The incident happened at approximately 7:44 a.m. for reasons that have not been determined.
Authorities say that an unidentified person was traveling on foot in the area of 768 Liberty Avenue when they were hit by a car. The collision caused injuries to the pedestrian, and first responders were dispatched to the scene a short time later.
While police and other crews worked at the scene to assess the nature of the incident, paramedics attended to the wounded party. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital to undergo additional evaluation and further treatment of their injuries.
Law enforcement officials have not reported on the identity of the victim or their current condition. No further details have been released.
An investigation to determine the cause of the collision is underway.
