Brooklyn, NY (January 30, 2023) – At around 1:08 p.m., on Monday afternoon, January 30th, dispatchers were notified of a serious vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred in the Homecrest neighborhood of Brooklyn. The incident was reported in the area of 2442 Ocean Avenue.
According to first responders, an unidentified pedestrian was walking alongside the roadway when they were struck by an Amazon delivery vehicle that left the scene. An unreported party called 911 while at least one other person chased down the driver involved.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and located the victim in the roadway. They were transported to a nearby medical center for treatment.
There has been no update on the driver of the Amazon truck that hit the pedestrian. The incident remains under investigation.
