Brooklyn, NY (February 24, 2023) – A person who was riding a scooter was reportedly injured after being hit by an unspecified type of motor vehicle in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. The collision happened at approximately 9:14 a.m. on Friday morning, February 24th.
Authorities who reported on the collision stated that an unidentified scooterist was traveling at or near the crossroads of Vanderbilt and St. Marks Avenues when a vehicle entered the intersection. The driver of the vehicle struck the scooterist, and the impact of the collision knocked the rider to the ground.
Either a person involved in the crash or a nearby witness called 911. Dispatchers immediately sent paramedics and police to the scene to secure the area and assist the victim.
The injured victim was taken to a nearby medical facility to undergo treatment for sustained injuries, but their present condition has not been reported.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation at this time.
