Brooklyn, NY (February 28, 2023) – A total of three people sustained various injuries in an apartment fire that broke out in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn. Authorities say the fire occurred early on Tuesday morning, February 28th, at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Reports provided by law enforcement show that flames broke out on the 4th floor of an apartment building located on Monument Walk. After receiving calls concerning the blaze, firefighters, paramedics, and police officials arrived at the scene to provide all necessary assistance.
Firefighters worked to control the flames, and EMTs assisted the injured residents at the scene. Three civilians were reportedly transported to local hospitals to undergo treatment for their injuries. Their current conditions have not been verified.
Investigators are conducting a thorough inquiry in order to establish the events that led to the fire.
