Brooklyn, NY – Woman Killed in crash with Postal Truck at Atkins & Cozine Aves

Brooklyn, NY (October 6, 2020) – One woman was killed after her vehicle collided with a postal truck early on Tuesday morning, October 6th. According to the New York Police Department, the fatal crash took place at the intersection of Atkins and Cozine Avenues around 2:00 a.m.

NYPD officials say that a 20-year-old woman was driving a Honda sedan south on Atkins when she collided with a U.S. postal truck after both vehicles entered the intersection. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the victim unconscious and unresponsive. She was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

The driver of the postal truck, identified only as a 48-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening head injury. His present condition has not been reported.

No further details have been made available as an investigation into the events that led to this incident is ongoing.
