Brownsville, MN (October 24, 2024) – An injury accident occurred on Highway 26 at the intersection with Third Street in Houston County. At approximately 4:55 p.m. on October 23, 2024, emergency responders were alerted to the scene following a collision between two vehicles.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 2015 Nissan Altima, driven by 39-year-old Kelly Anne Dee from Harpers Ferry, IA, was traveling northbound on Highway 26. Simultaneously, a 2022 Buick Enclave, operated by 83-year-old Jeanette Mary Howes from Brownsville, MN, was traveling southbound when the two vehicles collided near South Third Street.
Both vehicles deployed their airbags during the crash. Fortunately, both drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Gundersen LaCrosse for further evaluation and treatment. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, and no alcohol was involved.
