Buffalo, NY (May 16, 2023) – Four people, including two firefighters, were transported to the hospital after a collision on Grant Street. The incident occurred near the entrance ramp to Route 198, at approximately 10:50 a.m.
According to authorities, the Buffalo Fire truck was stopped at a signal when it was rear-ended by a civilian vehicle. The impact caused the vehicle to roll over. Both the driver of the civilian vehicle and another person inside were taken to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) along with the injured firefighters.
The incident remains under investigation, with authorities looking into the possibility that speed played a role in the collision.
