Buffalo, NY (March 23, 2023) – The 18-year-old who was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident that left four other teens injured has now been identified. The fatal crash happened early on Wednesday morning, March 22nd.
According to law enforcement, the involved vehicles crashed at approximately 5:50 a.m., where it struck a pole on Main Street. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to overturn. A total of five people were hurt in the crash and assisted by responding paramedics.
One person, 18-year-old Jerel Buchanan of Buffalo, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other victims, identified as 17-19 year-olds, were hospitalized for further care.
The events that led to the crash are under investigation.
