Buffalo, NY (March 24, 2023) – Authorities have now reported that the driver who caused a crash that killed his passenger has been arraigned. The fatal crash happened last Saturday, March 18th, on McKinley Parkway.
According to reports, Paul McCaslin, of Buffalo, driving while intoxicated when his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into multiple trees. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 44-year-old Christopher Kleinbach, was ejected during the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene by responding authorities.
Emergency crews transported McCaslin to Erie County Medical Center via ambulance, and was placed under arrest on Sunday, March 19th. On Wednesday, March 22nd, McCaslin was arraigned in his hospital bed and will face charges for second-degree vehicular manslaughter and DWI.
