Bulloch County, GA (March 19, 2021) – Three people are dead after a four-vehicle crash occurred in Bulloch County around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
According to troopers with the Georgia State Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer was driving westbound on I-16 when it rear-ended another vehicle, which caught on fire. The vehicle was then pushed into the rear of another big-rig, which sideswiped a fourth vehicle.
Three people in the vehicle that caught on fire were pronounced dead at the scene. There was one person in the tanker, two people in the tractor-trailer, and at least one person in the fourth vehicle, though their current conditions are unknown.
The accident remains under investigation.
