Burke, VA (July 19, 2023) – A teen has died as a result of a major crash reported in the Burke area on Tuesday evening, July 18.
According to reports, four teens were traveling in a car on Burke Centre Parkway during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, their vehicle became involved in a crash with a second vehicle. The incident caused severe damage to the vehicle, resulting in it catching on fire.
Bystanders rushed to the scene and went to work quickly on pulling the trapped victims from the burning car.
Three teens were severely harmed in the accident and rushed to area hospitals for emergency care. A fourth victim was also injured and transported to an area medical facility.
A fifth victim ended up passing away as a result of their injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
