California, MD (November 12, 2022) – A bicyclist was left injured following a traffic accident that occurred on Friday evening in the California area. At around 8:30 p.m., on November 11, authorities were called to the scene of an automobile accident on Patuxent Beach Road.
Investigations provided by the police show that a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the area of Patuxent Beach Road and Kingston Creek Road.
The bicyclist suffered significant injuries in the accident. Authorities initially requested MEDEVAC to transport the victim. However, due to weather conditions, the victim had to be transported by ambulance to Capital Region Trauma Center, for emergency care.
Two people in the vehicle were treated at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
