Commerce, CA – Pedestrian Killed on 5 Frwy

Commerce, CA (February 25, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit by two vehicles and killed on Monday, February 25th in the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway.

The collision occurred at around 3:35 a.m. at the change-over to the 710 Freeway to Long Beach.

Both vehicles involved, a green Mercury Mountaineer SUV and another vehicle, pulled over and remained at the scene.

It has not yet been determined why the pedestrian was walking along the freeway in the dark.

The liability for the accident is still being determined.
