Los Angeles, CA (July 17, 2020) – An automobile accident reported Thursday morning left one person injured in the Los Angeles area. At approximately 11:10 a.m., on July 16, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 10 Freeway.
Reports from authorities show that a white van and a motorcycle collided on the eastbound side lanes of the freeway just east of South Normandie Avenue. The motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in the accident. Medics provided treatment to the victim at the scene and transported the rider to an area hospital for treatment.
Crews immediately secured the area and redirected traffic. Preliminary investigations were initiated as CHP gathered evidence from the site of the collision and collected information from witnesses. A tow truck later arrived at the scene of the incident to remove the motorcycle from the road. At this time, CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
