Salinas, CA (August 01, 2020) – A deadly collision involving a motorcycle took place on Thursday, July 30th at the intersection of Bardin Road and Williams Road.
For reasons that have yet to be determined, a man on a motorcycle and a 2001 Toyota pick-up truck collided with one another in the intersection.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., first response teams and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Upon arrival, they discovered the motorcycle rider lying in the middle of the road. Medical personnel at the crash site transported the injured victim to Natividad Medical Center. He was pronounced dead a short while later.
The identity of the motorcyclist remains undisclosed at this time as crash investigators are awaiting confirmation and the notification of his next of kin.
Officials did indicate that the driver of the Toyota pick-up pulled over and remained at the scene following the accident, and has been cooperative with crash investigators thus far.
Any determination regarding cause and liability in the fatal accident has not yet been released to the public. It is also unclear whether or not any traffic citations have been issued at this time.
