Campbell County, VA (March 30, 2023) – A 17-year-old female has died as a result of a car crash that took place on Tuesday morning in Campbell County. The accident was reported just before 8:00 a.m. on March 28.
Reports provided by the Virginia State Police show that a collision occurred on Brookneal Highway just one-quarter mile south of Brooks Farm Drive. The accident involved a 2002 Ford Mustang and a 2014 GMC Sierra.
Authorities confirm that the Mustang was traveling north on Brookneal Highway when it collided with the GMC. The driver of the Mustang, a 17-year-old female from Gladys, Virginia, died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
The GMC driver, 29-year-old Kyle Beavon, was not injured in the crash.
The state police are currently investigating the incident.
