Canadian County, OK – Critical Injuries in Hydroplane Crash on Kilpatrick Turnpike

Canadian County, OK (November 20, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, November 19, around 4 a.m., a severe accident occurred on Kilpatrick Turnpike at South County Line Road. An eastbound vehicle hydroplaned off the road, rolling one and a half times, and ended up on its top. The driver was critically injured and hospitalized.

At approximately 7 a.m., another crash was reported on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike, west of Ninnekah. A car on Interstate 44 went off the road, became airborne, and rolled after landing. The Chickasha Fire Department extricated the driver, who was also hospitalized in critical condition.

The causes of both accidents are under investigation, with no current updates on the conditions of the drivers.
