Canandaigua, NY – Car Accident at Intersection of NY-21 and Duel Rd.; 2 Injured

Canandaigua, NY (July 21, 2023) – A car accident at NY-21 and Duel Road in Canandaigua injured a man and a woman on July 19, 2023.

Ontario County officials reported that a Kia Sportage driver attempted a left turn and was rear-ended by a Dodge van, severely damaging both vehicles.

Paramedics, firefighters, and Ontario County officials rushed to help the injured.

CPR revived the adult female Kia driver. She was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital for internal injuries.

The Dodge driver was taken to Thompson Hospital with chest pain.

After the crash, police quickly cleared the road.

The Dodge’s male driver was ticketed, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
