Cape Coral, FL (September 13, 2023) – Two bicyclists suffered injuries after a van collided with them on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

The incident occurred around 8 a.m. at Gulfstream Parkway Old Burnt Store Road.

A LeeFlight helicopter transported one seriously injured bicyclist while an ambulance conveyed the other to a medical facility.

Witnesses mentioned that the van’s driver, involved in the crash on Old Burnt Store Rd and Gulfstream Parkway, stopped to assist the injured.

Authorities kept Old Burnt Store Road closed for several hours for investigation.

Tony Mack, a fellow biker with Caloosa Bike Riders Club, reported that the van driver ran a stop sign.

The investigation is still ongoing.
