Capitola, CA – Pedestrian Fatality in Hit-and-Run on Bay Ave

Capitola, CA (November 17, 2023) – A devastating hit-and-run accident on Bay Avenue in Capitola resulted in a pedestrian fatality on Friday, November 17. Around 8:30 p.m., a vehicle collided with a pedestrian and fled the scene, according to the Capitola Police Department.

The events leading to the accident remain unclear. Upon arrival, officials discovered the pedestrian had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released.

Authorities are investigating the possibility of alcohol or drugs being involved. The search for the responsible vehicle continues, and the cause of the accident remains under active investigation. No additional details are available at this time.
