Cass, MO (September 13, 2023) – A two-vehicle crash happened on Route A at Amarugia Rd on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Around 4:30 p.m., Ali H. Al Abudy, 49, from Raytown, attempted to overtake with his 2013 Toyota Camry.
He struck the side of a 2013 Kenworth T800 driven by Thomas R. Kurzweil, 67, of Harrisonville.
Al Abudy’s car then veered off the road and capsized.
EMS transported Al Abudy to Research Medical Center with moderate injuries.
His Camry faced total damage, while Kurzweil’s truck had minor damages.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing.
