Catskill, NY (December 13, 2024) - A tragic accident early Wednesday morning on the New York State Thruway claimed the life of 26-year-old Sara Llorens from Burlington, Vermont. New York State Police responded to the scene in the town of Catskill, where Llorens’ vehicle had crashed around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
According to authorities, Llorens was traveling southbound when she lost control of her car, veering off the road and striking the median. After the impact, Llorens exited the vehicle, which subsequently caught fire. While attempting to escape the flames, she was struck by a northbound vehicle.
