Champlain, NY – Four Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on NY-9B

Champlain, NY (September 14, 2021) – A total of four people were left injured after a car accident that took place on Sunday afternoon, September 12th. The crash was reported at around 3:22 p.m. on New York State Route 9B.

According to authorities, a man identified as Dalton Dominy, 24, of Tupper Lake, was driving a 2017 GMC Acadia west with three passengers. The Acadia left the roadway near the intersection with NY-9 and struck an embankment. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to roll end over end before landing upright in a ditch.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene where they transported Dominy to the University of Vermont Health Network at the Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital in Plattsburgh. Dominy suffered a possible concussion, but no further details have been reported.

The other three passengers, Kailee A. McCormick, 21, Vashti M. McCormick, 26, and Darrin J. Clark, 27, were taken to CVPH with non-life-threatening injuries. No more information is available at this time.

The events that led to the crash are under investigation.
