Chandler, AZ (September 13, 2023) – A semi-truck fatally struck a pedestrian on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Chandler on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

Authorities confirmed the incident occurred at milepost 174, close to State Route 587.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) shut down the affected westbound lanes following the crash.

No timeline is provided for their reopening, but the eastbound lanes remain open.

ADOT advises drivers to anticipate delays and consider using alternative routes.
