The Charlotte Fire Department reported the fire on social media, indicating that emergency responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after the blaze was detected.
Firefighters arrived at approximately 12:30 a.m. to find that flames had already breached the structure. The fire was brought under control within about 20 minutes, but not before several residents were affected. According to Medic Ambulance Service, one patient sustained life-threatening injuries, while three others were reported to have minor injuries.
