Cherry Grove Twp, MI (March 13, 2025) – A tragic accident in Wexford County claimed the life of a pedestrian early Thursday morning. Authorities confirmed that 41-year-old Kevin Hoover, a Cadillac resident, was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking along M-115 near the intersection of West Division Street.
According to the Wexford County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred around 6 a.m. when a 26-year-old man from Marion was driving northeast on M-115. Hoover, who was walking southeast in the roadway, was struck by the vehicle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Hoover was pronounced dead on-site due to the severity of his injuries.
Traffic in the area was rerouted to North Boulevard as deputies conducted their investigation. Authorities have not yet determined the exact circumstances leading to the crash, and the incident remains under review.
