Chesapeake Beach, MD (March 7, 2023) – The police have confirmed that 74-year-old Christopher Carryington of North Beach, Maryland, was left with significant injuries following a car crash that took place in the Chesapeake Beach area.
According to officials, Carryington was operating a mobility scooter in the crosswalk while traveling across Bayside Road near Harbor Road when he was struck by a 2001 Honda Accord as the vehicle turned left onto Bayside Road. The driver of the Honda, 67-year-old Kathy Ann Jones of Owings, Maryland, was not injured.
Carryington was ejected from his scooter and suffered severe injuries. He was transported to MedSTAR Hospital, where he was admitted for emergency care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
