Chicago, IL (February 12, 2024) – A collision between a firetruck and a car injured six people on Saturday afternoon, February 10, in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood. The incident, involving a Chevy Impala and a firetruck responding to an emergency with activated lights and siren, occurred around 4:20 p.m. at 47th St and State St.
A 30-year-old man driving the Impala was seriously injured and rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Five firefighters also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospitals for evaluation. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
