Chickasha, OK – Passenger Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 62

Chickasha, OK (December 12, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 62 east of Chickasha claimed the life of a 73-year-old woman on Wednesday afternoon. The collision, which occurred around 4:55 PM, involved a Toyota Tundra and a Cadillac SRX, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Authorities stated that the Toyota Tundra pulled from a stop sign onto the highway and collided with the Cadillac SRX. The passenger in the Cadillac, identified as Stephany Rumley of Pocasset, was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Cadillac was admitted to OU Health in Oklahoma City and is reported to be in stable condition. The driver of the Tundra was treated for injuries and has been released.

Emergency responders, including the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, worked to manage the scene and assist those involved. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
