Chico, CA (July 7, 2023) – According to KRCR, there was a car accident on the evening of Thursday, July 6, 2023, in downtown Chico that involved two vehicles.
As a result, one of the cars crashed into Jack’s Family Restaurant.
Chico police officials have confirmed the incident.
The officials stated that an Acura traveling west on 6th Street ran a red light while a minivan was heading north on Esplanade.
The minivan collided with the Acura, pushing it into the restaurant.
Inside the Acura, a woman suffered a minor head injury, and a child was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
In the minivan, two children were also taken to the hospital as a precaution, while another child was brought by their mother for evaluation.
Fortunately, the crash did not cause structural damage to the restaurant.
