Clearfield County, PA (October 4, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred Thursday afternoon in Gulich Township, resulting in the death of a Houtzdale man. The Clearfield County coroner, Kim Shaffer-Snyder, confirmed that the victim, identified as 47-year-old Scott Hockenberry, was involved in a two-vehicle collision.
According to investigators, Hockenberry was traveling in the vicinity of Route 153 and Viola Pike when he reportedly crossed into the opposite lane of traffic, leading to a collision with a pickup truck. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, Hockenberry was pronounced dead at the site of the accident.
