Clearwater, FL (March 13, 2025) – A moped rider sustained serious injuries in a crash Wednesday evening at the intersection of Sunset Point Road and Belcher Road.
According to first responders, the accident occurred just before 8:15 p.m. and involved a moped and another vehicle. Clearwater Police Department and Clearwater Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene and provided medical aid to the injured rider.
The victim was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg with potentially life-threatening injuries. Authorities reported that the driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
