Cleveland, OH (October 25, 2024) – A tragic two-car accident occurred Thursday night on I-480 East at State Road, resulting in the death of one individual. The incident took place around 11:15 p.m. when a vehicle that had stopped in the eastbound lane was struck from behind by another vehicle.
According to the Cleveland Police, the impact of the collision caused the struck vehicle to become engulfed in flames. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived promptly at the scene, where they pronounced the driver of the stopped vehicle, a 61-year-old man, dead. The driver of the other car, a 29-year-old woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
