Cobb County, GA (December 2, 2022) – Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened on Sunday, November 27 in Cobb County. The incident occurred at around 7:27 a.m., according to reports.
Officials with the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program stated the incident took place on Due West Road at Lanesborough Drive. Amarjeet S. Ranhotra, 23, of Acworth, was headed east on Due West Road when they lost control of their vehicle while negotiating a left curve, according to police.
Authorities stated Ranhorta crossed into the westbound lane when another driver, Linda Oparnica, age 56, of Show Low, collided into the right side of Ranhortra’s vehicle head-first. Police stated Ranhotra sustained fatal injuries in the accident. They were pronounced deceased on-site.
Oparnica was transported to Kennestone Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police in Cobb County continue to investigate the details of the accident.
