Cobb County, GA – Elanden Park, 31, Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash

Cobb County, GA (December 30, 2020) – One person has lost their life after a fatal pedestrian crash took place near Six Flags this past Saturday morning. According to the Cobb County Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Queensferry Drive near the Mableton Parkway. 

Investigators stated that a 2003 gray Lincoln Aviator was traveling in the left lane of Mableton Parkway approaching Queensferry Drive at the same time that a pedestrian was attempting to cross Mableton Parkway going west. The front end of the Lincoln and the pedestrian collided, causing him critical injuries. 

The pedestrian was identified as 31-year-old Elanden Park, a Mableton resident. He was transported to Wellstar Cobb Hospital where he later passed away. The driver of the Lincoln did not sustain any injuries in the crash. He was identified as Keith Phillips, 59.
