Colonie, NY (May 5, 2023) – An Albany County Sheriff’s deputy was involved in a car crash that took place on Tuesday and ended in injuries. The crash was reported at approximately 130 p.m. on May 2.
Reports provided by the police show that a sheriff’s deputy was responding to a report of a stolen vehicle near the Albany International Airport when they were struck by a second vehicle in the area of Albany Shaker Road and Watervliet Shaker Road.
Both vehicles were damaged as a result of the accident.
Two people involved in the crash were injured. The two victims were transported by ambulance to local hospitals for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
