Colorado Springs, CO (September 18, 2023) – A significant multi-car crash took place around 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the intersection of Powers and Stetson Hills.
While responding to a call, an officer drove north on Powers with lights and sirens on.
A car from Stetson Hills Boulevard entered the intersection, colliding with the patrol car.
This car flipped, settling on the intersection’s northwest corner.
The police car spun, hitting another vehicle.
No serious injuries occurred in the civilian car.
All three individuals, including the officer, went to the hospital.
The investigation is still ongoing, with neither speeding nor impairment suspected.
