Columbus, OH (September 13, 2023) – A devastating collision on Monday evening, September 11, 2023, claimed one life and injured another in Northeast Columbus.

The mishap unfolded near Morse Road and Maize Road in Woodward Park, east of Interstate 71. Around 5:36 p.m., a 2012 Kia Soul headed east on Morse met a 2017 Honda Civic going west.

The Civic veered left at the junction, hitting the Kia head-on.

Emergency crews rushed the Kia’s driver to the Ohio State University Wexner Center, facing critical wounds.

Sadly, they passed away by 6:17 p.m. Meanwhile, medics transported the Civic’s driver to Riverside Methodist Hospital, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.
