Compton Township, MN (December 16, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 29 in Compton Township, Otter Tail County, on Saturday evening, resulting in one driver sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. The incident was reported at approximately 7:27 PM.

The driver of the Ford Edge, 53-year-old Ben Nevin McCormick of Sebeka, MN, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Astera Hospital for medical care. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup, 39-year-old Jennifer Margarete Baratells of Deer Creek, and her 13-year-old passenger were uninjured in the collision.
Emergency responders from Astera Ambulance, Premier Towing, Wadena and Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Offices, and Wadena Police Department assisted at the scene. Traffic was temporarily affected in the area as authorities managed the crash site and initiated their investigation.
