Congress, AZ (December 10, 2024) – A devastating two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 93 northwest of Congress claimed three lives and left several others injured on Saturday afternoon. A 46-year-old woman from Uintah, Utah, was identified as the driver responsible for the accident, which tragically resulted in the deaths of three individuals in a Toyota Sienna.
The victims included a 51-year-old driver from Gilbert, as well as two passengers, aged 17 and 44, from Chandler. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. Four other passengers in the Toyota sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical attention. The driver believed to have caused the accident remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. If she survives, authorities indicated she will face charges of second-degree homicide.
