Creedmoor, TX – Head-On Collision on State Highway 45 Leaves One Dead and One Critically Injured

Creedmoor, TX ( July 14, 2023) – The Department of Public Safety (DPS) has initiated an investigation into a fatal crash on State Highway 45 on Friday, July 14th 2023.
According to Austin Travis County-EMS, the collision involved two vehicles on the eastbound lanes of State Highway 45 near Turnersville Road shortly before 2 a.m.
DPS informed KXAN that one driver succumbed to their injuries in a 4-door passenger vehicle that subsequently caught fire.

The other driver was transported to the hospital with critical injuries via STARFlight, as reported by ATCEMS.
The second vehicle involved in the crash was identified as a Toyota Tundra.
A spokesperson from DPS stated that it was unclear in which direction the vehicles were travelling, but the collision appeared to be a head-on impact.
