Cumberland, MD – Three Injured in Auto Accident on Route 51 near Green Ridge Rd

Cumberland, MD (July 6, 2023) – Three people were left with significant injuries following an automobile accident that occurred in Cumberland on Tuesday, July 4.

At around 2:00 p.m., a collision was reported on Maryland State Route 51 in the area near Green Ridge Road.

One man involved in the crash was severely hurt. He was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to a local trauma center, where he underwent emergency medical care.

Two other victims, identified as a woman and a young baby, were both transported to UPMC Western Maryland by ambulance for emergency care.

At this time, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
