Dent, MO (September 18, 2023) – A two-car crash on HWY 72, seven miles north of Salem, led to moderate injuries for both drivers on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Around 5:45 a.m., Trent L. Corbett, 28, from Jefferson City, MO, fell asleep at the wheel of his 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe.

He veered across the center line and collided with a 2015 Chrysler 200 driven by Steven G. Hampton, 62, of Salem, MO.

Emergency services treated Corbett on the scene and released him.

Meanwhile, an ambulance transported Hampton to Salem Memorial Hospital.

The investigation is still ongoing.
