Denver, CO (September 18, 2023) – A tragic crash occurred on the NB lanes of I-25 near 8th Ave on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Early reports state that a motorist was traveling south against northbound traffic.

This vehicle collided with another going north on NB I-25.

The northbound driver died at the scene.

A passenger in that vehicle sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital.

The wrong-way driver also went to the hospital and is under investigation for vehicular homicide.

The medical examiner will identify the deceased.

The Denver DA’s Office will determine charges.

The investigation is still ongoing.
