Derwood, MD (April 4, 2023) – The police have confirmed that 66-year-old Altai Khaltar lost his life as a result of a car crash that occurred in the Derwood area.
At around 7:36 p.m. on April 1, the Montgomery County Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a crash on Norbeck Road.
Reports show that a 2012 Honda Pilot and a white 2019 Honda Pilot collided on the roadway near Norwood Road. A 2019 Honda Rogue traveling down the road was then struck by the debris, resulting in some damage to the vehicle.
The driver of the Rogue was uninjured.
One driver involved in the crash, identified as Khaltar, sustained severe injuries in the crash. He was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
A passenger in the second vehicle was rushed to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.
Two people had to be extricated from their vehicles. However, their condition is unknown.
The police are currently investigating the incident.
