Derwood, MD (January 24, 2023) – A traffic accident took place in the Derwood area that prompted the response of emergency officials on Monday morning. On January 23, the Montgomery County Police Department and EMS with the Montgomery County (MD) Fire & Rescue Service responded to a traffic crash that took place on Crabbs Branch Way. 
Preliminary crash reports indicate that a teenager was struck by a vehicle on Crabbs Branch Way and the area near Indian Hills Drive at approximately 710 a.m.
The pedestrian suffered injuries as a result of the accident. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital for further medical care.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the traffic accident are being investigated.
