Jabs Gym and Beyond Juicery & Eatery occupy the affected building at Russell and Winder Streets.

Authorities rushed the injured individual to a local hospital for treatment.

Falling debris heavily damaged several parked cars nearby.

The reason behind the collapse remains unknown.

Detroit’s Building Safety Department is inspecting the site for causes.

The investigation is still ongoing.
