Dinwiddie, VA (July 23, 2023) – Several victims were injured as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in Dinwiddie on Saturday morning, June 23.

At around 8:45 a.m., the police and firefighters were called to the site of a crash on Route 460.

Reports show that two vehicles collided on the roadway near the intersection of Courthouse Road. The incident blocked several lanes of travel, prompting the response of the Dinwiddie Fire & EMS. The accident occurred when a Mazda sedan pulled in front of a Ford SUV. The SUV crashed into the driver’s side door of the sedan, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Nine people were injured in the accident. Multiple EMS units responded to the scene to transport the injured victims. Six victims were flown by medical helicopters to local hospitals for emergency medical care.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
