Dodge County, WI (November 19, 2023) – Two vehicle accidents in Dodge County over the weekend resulted in the hospitalization of two men, with alcohol and lack of seatbelt use contributing to the severity of the crashes, according to Sheriff Dale Schmidt.
The first incident occurred around 11 PM on Saturday near Walton Road, northwest of Watertown. A 31-year-old man from rural Watertown, driving a pickup, crashed into a tree, suffering serious injuries. A local resident extinguished a small fire from the crash. Additionally, a 29-year-old intoxicated woman from Watertown was arrested at the scene for OWI.
The second crash happened early Sunday near the junction of Highway A and Highway B, where another pickup truck rolled multiple times. The investigation into these incidents is ongoing, as authorities seek to understand all contributing factors.
